However, there are some behaviours from passengers which can make your journey uncomfortable and boring.

The following is a list of irritating behaviours from passengers you have likely encountered in matatus:

1.Passengers making and receiving long phone calls

We don't have any issue with people making and receiving calls while travelling, however, we find it awkward listening to your long and loud conversation.

Such people tend to discuss sensitive matters loudly without caring who listens, they may break into laughter splitting saliva on your cheek unapologetically.

This kind of passengers causes discomfort in a matatu for nobody wants to hear your conversations.

2.Passengers eating in matatu

People have different health conditions, smoking your cigarette, chewing your miraa, eating your corns, chips and other smelly food in matatus is a big no.

Your neighbour may be allergic to your juicy chips, that will cause discomfort to him or her.

This kind of passengers have peculiar habits, after finishing eating they will throw leftovers or food wrapping materials through the car windows or under their chairs.

3. Playing loud music

After a tiresome day at work or earlier in the morning, you are rushing to work and you end up in a matatu that plays loud music which you rarely hear a word.

This will definitely spoil your moods since people have different music tastes if it's not the driver and his conductor playing irritating music from their hissing sound system then there is a guy from back seat playing vernacular songs from his smartphone loudly as he sings along.

This is irritating bearing every passenger has different moods and music tastes.

4.Overloaded matatu

You have that special interview which will make your year's resolution come true, you are elegantly dressed to have first impression on the panel and you have just boarded a 14 passenger seater matatu, on the way you realize it has 25 passengers on board.
