The Kenyan lawyer who lives in Canada said that it was the country's first ever President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta changed the face of the country in regard to unity.

Taking it to Twitter, Miguna said that Mzee Jomo Kenyatta introduced violence in politics, thereby bringing divisions and tribalism among Kenyans.

Miguna gave an example when Kikuyus would vote for a Luo man in general elections, naming the late Tom Mboya and Argwings Kodhek as Luo leaders who were voted in by mainly Kikuyu voters.

Miguna also listed the late Achieng Oneko who won the Nakuru Town constituency election in 1963, saying he was a Luo but was voted in by Kalenjins.

"ONCE UPON A TIME Kenya was a UNITED NATION. Tom Mboya and Argwings Kodhek, both Luos, were elected MPs in Nairobi by mainly Kikuyu voters and Achieng' Oneko in Nakuru by Kalenjins " tweeted Miguna.

Miguna also blamed the first President for the current graft being experienced in the country, adding that the country has never recovered from the mistakes he introduced.

"Then Jomo Kenyatta INTRODUCED tribalism, graft and guns in POLITICS. We have never RECOVERED."

Both Tom Mboya and Oneko are highly celebrated and still regarded as Kenyan political heroes of all-time.
