South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro has dismissed claims that he was arrested on Thursday following orders by Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i.
Social media users claimed that the youthful MP had been arrested after dismissing Matiang'i as a 'hardware without a software' in reference to his rumoured presidential bid.
"The guy likes querrelling and his presidency can be one very 'argumentative' tenure. What you see on TV is so different from the real him.
"Actually, media sells the opposite of both their characters. To sum it up,Matiang'i is a replica of Saitoti and slightly Gideon Moi not Michuki as people think. I would choose Dr Ruto any day, any time," Osoro had also said about Matiang'i on Wednesday.
The South Mugirango MP has been leading DP William Ruto campaigns in Gusii region and has often maintained that the community will vote the DP.
In a text message on Friday, Osoro denied claims that he had been arrested, adding that he had jetted out of the country for parliamentary business.
"I have not been arrested by anyone. In fact, I am currently Morocco for a parliamentary function. I will be back next week," he said.
On Thursday, a section of MCAs from Gusii region condemned Mr Osoro, giving him ultimatum to apologise to the community for disrespecting the minister.
