Former Kenyan international Nicholas Muyoti has been appointed as Kakamega Homeboyz head coach.

Muyoti, who joins from Nzoia Sugar has replaced Ugandan Tactician Paul Nkata, who left the club after he was accused of match-fixing allegations.

Muyoti will be assisted by former Nakuru Allstars player Peter Okidi.

Confirming the news, Kakamega Homeboyz club’s Chairman Cleophas Shimanyula said the duo have been given one year contract each, and happy to capture the two.

“We are happy to have the two at the helm and as the management team, we are hoping they will deliver to the expectations. Based on their performance, their contracts have extension options,” said Shimanyula.

After the departure of Paul Nkata, Allan Wanga was appointed as the acting coach and has led the team well, scoring a couple of goals in the last few matches.

Muyoti first assignment as Kakamega Homeboyz Coach will be against Sofapaka. Apart from Nzoia Sugar, Muyoti has also coached AFC Leopards.

Kakamega Homeboyz is in 8th position with 17 points.
