Despite claims that deputy governor Amos Nyaribo is back from India after undergoing kidney operations, fresh details indicate that he's still in New Delhi.

A source from Governor John Nyagarama's press team had indicated that Mr. Nyaribo, whose brother Robert Nyaribo would be buried on Monday, had returned to the country for burial.

"I am reliably informed he's around but it's not clear whether or not he will attend burial of his brother. He's too weak to attend," said the source.

But an exclusive conversion seen between the DG, who at one time served as governor in absence of John Nyagarama from May to July, shows that he's not yet in the country.

In the conversation, his handler (name withheld due to sensitivity of the matter), seeks to know his whereabouts.

"Nope, I am not yet around. I am glad to know (rumours that he is secretly in the country)," read the conversation.

The handler then goes ahead to insist that Mr. Nyaribo will not attend the funeral because his condition can't allow.

Governor John Nyagarama led his team to Nyaribo's home on Wednesday to help in burial preparations.

In September, Nyaribo missed the burial of his uncle, who had perished in a fire tragedy because he still remains indisposed in India.
