Speaking on Milele FM’s ‘Kivumbi’ on Monday morning, the leader narrated how she has been receiving messages and calls from her constituents requesting for help.

Recently, she said, she was contacted by one of her subjects who wanted her (Passaris) to help him pay his wife’s bride-price ahead of their forthcoming wedding.

‘’Juzi mtu amenitumia ujumbe eti anataka kuoa nimlipie mahari (the other day somebody sent me a message requesting for my help in paying the bride price for his wife),’’ noted Passaris.

She urged Kenyans to let their elected and nominated leaders serve them better by giving them the needed space.

Passaris advised Kenyans against over depending on politicians, terming the same as denying the leaders the needed peace and concentration at work, resulting in poor performance.

‘’Ni vyema wakenya waache kutegemea wanasiasa na kuombaomba, wawape nafasi ya kufanya kazi (let's not burden politicians with our financial issues, let's give them the space to serve us),’’ she added.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) lawmaker noted that a section of her funds goes back to her less-fortunate constituents in medical bills, funeral costs and other cases of a similar nature.
