Speculations about possible cabinet reshuffle informed President Uhuru Kenyatta's decsion to leave the coastal city after a two-week stay.

During his quiet stay, Uhuru is said to have held a secret meeting with ODM leader Raila Odinga and his deputy Hassan Joho.

And on Tuesday, Uhuru left Mombasa after addressing delegation from African Confederation of Principals where he said he would have wished to stay longer.

"I would have loved to stay longer and listen to a few presentations but I have to go back to Nairobi," he said.

The Head of State added: "I have been around for two weeks and there have been so much speculations on why I am here. Let me go back so that they stop."

Details emerged on a possible cabinet reshuffle which was reportedly targeting under performing ministers and their Principal Secretaries.

But in a statement at Mombasa, State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena dismissed the speculations.

"I am not aware of such changes thus I don't have details. I have just seen them in media so you can furnish me with details."

On Thursday, Uhuru will embark on Nyanzan trip where he will be accompanied by Raila Odinga, a tour that would last for four days.
