Detectives have recovered stolen Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) materials from the home of a politician.

Investigators said the materials were found at the home of a Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Narumoru.

Among items found are rolls of geogrid worth over Sh1 million which was stolen from an SGR yard in Nairobi.

The MCA, Martin Matu, has been summoned over the theft.

“The MCA instructed to report to DCI Railways on Monday,” DCI said on Sunday morning.
