Eldoret town and Uasin Gishu county at large is now mourning after a tragic accident which took the life of businessman Benjamin Kiplimo.
Kipimo, the proprietor of Silverline hotel succumbed to injuries after he was involved in a fatal road accident at Annex along Eldoret-Nakuru highway on Thursday.
His death is a loss not only to the family but also the entire county as Kiplimo's Silverline hotel was the epicentre of Uasin Gishu's 2017 politics during campaign periods.
The hotel gained popularity as it hosted several political rallies, including President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto when they visited Eldoret town for the campaign of a repeat October 26 presidential poll.
Uasin Gishu leaders led by Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Kipchumba Sudi and Kesses MP Dr Mishra Swarup have sent their condolences messages through their official Facebook accounts.
Locals have also joined the leaders in mourning the Silverline proprietor.
