Aden Duale's swift move to rescue a bright boy from a humble family in Masalani, Ijara sub-county has won the hearts of many across the county, with many describing the gesture as philanthropic.
The Garissa Township legislator took the step after NTV aired the story of the bright student four days ago.
Among the individuals who have since lauded the National Assembly Majority Leader for the ccompassionate intervention include Uhuru's lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi who said the boy would have otherwise wasted away due to a failed system/state.
"Congrats Hon Duale for being philanthropic enough. That young man has been failed by the system/the state and they are many like him all over Kenya. The system/state should have mechanisms to ensure that kids from poor families access the right to education," commented Ahmednasir via his official social media platform.
Mohamed Abdilatif, the former KCPE pupil rescued by Duale, scored 390 marks out of the possible 500 in this year's primary school examinations.
Interestingly, he has also been selected to join his school of choice, Nairobi School come January 2018.
