President Uhuru Kenyatta's prolonged absence from public has caused curiosity among hawk-eyed Kenyans on Twitter who on Saturday launched 'operation' to find the Head of State.
For about two weeks now, Uhuru has avoided public functions, a contrast to his previous itineraries where he often hosted functions or even attended several events across the country.
Ever since jetting from China where he had attended a global infrastructural conference with ODM leader Raila Odinga, Uhuru has not been seen in public, a move that has excited KOT.
On Monday, Uhuru only made changes in the military through a memo published by Ministry of Defense where he extended the term of Chief of Defense Forces General Samson Mwathethe's term by one year.
And through a special hashtag #Findpresidentuhuru, social media users mocked him with some suggesting that he could still be holed up somewhere in China.
"Both Baba and Uhuru went to China to borrow, they were denied more loan, Baba came back and moved on because he is used to disappointments, Uhuru grew up getting pampered in state house and is not used to disappointments," said Le King
"Anybody with any information concerning the whereabouts of President Uhuru Kenyatta to report in any Huduma Namba registration centre without fail. Please," added Juma G.
But some seemed comfortable with Uhuru's prolonged absence from public limelight, insisting that Deputy President William Ruto should also consider taking a break.
"Can Ruto just go missing for even 3 days. We are tired of hearing his lies, insults and propaganda," argued Dancan Makori, a critic of DP Ruto.
"Why should I bother with president kenyatta??? Does he worry about me??? Housing bill is a scam, I don't want house, I have grass touched house and its am contented," added Martin Kimosop in reference to controversial housing scheme.
