Speaking on Milele FM's Kivumbi Show on Thursday morning, the parliamentarian hailed the close working relationship and strong collaboration he enjoys with his constituents.

He noted that he is always aware of what is happening on the ground even during his absence.

Kuria added that his constituents even phone him whenever unknown people are on the ground to scrutinise and witness his development initiatives.

"I am in close contact with my people. They will even phone to notify me when they spot unfamiliar people trying to confirm if the development I am talking about on the ground is a reality," he said.

However, he said that things might not be the same going forward with regards to his 2022 presidential bid.

The firebrand legislator said that he will cease being a parliamentarian upon the lapse of his term in 2022 and will only proceed if there will be changes on the constitution.

"In 2022 I will be seeking the presidential seat. Unless there are constitutional changes allowing one to vie for both parliamentary and presidential slots at the same time, I will not be on the Gatundu South ballot," added Kuria.

However, he is yet to officially launch his bid.
