Kenyenya Sub County police boss Isaac Thuranira has dismissed allegations that police officers in the area are lazy and sluggish while discharging their daily duties.
Thuranira assured that security officers have been doing everything possible to protect people and their property in the areas.
"There is no cause for alarm because security is very tight in the area. Those claiming that police officers are sleeping on the job are misleading the public and have a hidden agenda to achieve," he said.
He reiterated that members of the public must continue cooperating with police officers to curb any crime which may arise during this festive season.
Thuranira urged local politicians not to politicize the work of police officers.
"Politicians should keep off the work of police officers who are tasked to ensure our people are safe 24 hours. No one will be condoned to continue spreading propaganda in the area," he added.
He confirmed that probe following the murder of Elvinah Moracha, a former KCSE candidate who was murdered in September this year is almost complete.
"Moracha's family will get justice because detectives are almost completing probe for the suspects to face the law," he stated.
