National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich should resign following the tough grilling by the DCI over the dams construction scandal.
ODM politician based in Gusii region Samuel Omwando said Rotich can't be trusted by Kenyans to continue serving in his position.
"Rotich's integrity is now on the balance. Let him resign in peace before Kenyans go on rampage to push for his sacking," he said.
Mr Omwando said Rotich should not wait for the president to sack him the same way he did to the former Sport Cs Rashid Echesa.
"There are Kenyans of good integrity who should be allowed to serve in the National Treasury office because Rotich has failed to allocate projects public funds wisely. It is high time he should consider going home," he noted.
The vocal politician appealed to the DPP Noordin Haji to ensure Rotich is prosecuted.
"Rotich should be prosecuted to serve as an example to high profile leaders in this country abusing office and mismanaging resources," he added.
Omwando who unsuccessful vied for Kitutu Chache South MP seat urged leaders to be accountable when it comes to expenditure of public resources.
