President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday left for Ethiopia after reorganizing his cabinet.

The head of state was accompanied by a high-level business delegation as he seeks to expand business ties with other world nations. 

The tour came moments after he replaced Sports CS Rashid Echesa in a mini cabinet reshuffle. 

 Uhuru, who is completing his second and final term in office, was welcomed by traditional dancers shortly after landing at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa.  

According to State House team the tour is meant to bolster economic and social ties between Kenya and Ethiopia and foster co-operation in areas of mutual interest. 

Uhuru was accorded full military honours complete with a 21 gun salute when he arrived in the neighbouring nation upon being received by Ethiopian Prime Minister, H.E. Abiy Ahmed Ali.

He is expected to be out of the country for two days before jetting back. Before his departure, Uhuru warned Cabinet against misusing of public resources. 

During the launch of a status report on Judiciary at the Supreme Court on Thursday, Uhuru said that his government is committed to ending graft.

 He urged leaders to back his government to ensure that he delivers on the Big Four Agenda before he leaves power in 2022.
