The former Kibra parliamentary aspirant on Monday resigned from the party, citing personal and political reasons, including varying political ideologies, convictions and beliefs.

But Nduko now says that the exit is not a shock, claiming that the latter has always been a KANU insider who as set to exit at some point, after draining the required muscle from Raila.

He termed the former ODM strategist who fell out with Raila after failing to clinch the ODM ticket for Kibra in the 2017 polls as one of the people who only join Raila for political connections, before ditching him for other destinations.

"Owalo, all I know, is that he has always been a KANU man. Raila should stop giving such people the networks they need and then they end up ditching him," he said.

The commentator made the remarks during an interview on KBC's The Big Conversation Show on Wednesday morning.

On the other hand, he observed that Owalo has made the greatest moysitake of his political life, as he was better placed to succeed the late Ken Okoth who died last month.

He noted that Owalo was assured of the seat on the ODM ticket, but seems to have been misadvised by some persons, which might cosmt him the position in the long run.

"Some people have advised him badly. He was the man of the moment," he observed.
