Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has revealed that he will personally reward Sh 100,000 to any person with information concerning the disappearance of Juja Ward MCA Samuel Gitau.
The MCA, according to the police, has mysteriously disappeared from Saturday night and it is suspected he could have been kidnapped. Police continue to investigate the disappearance.
Kabogo who was speaking on Tuesday at a press conference in Thika town said that it is unlikely to have a leader mysteriously disappear without his whereabouts being known.
He said that his government has launched a search to find the MCA.
The governor re-assured Juja residents that he has met with the county commissioner and gave a vigilant instruction for the police to conduct a thorough investigation on the matter.
Kabogo said that he is willing to reward any person with the information concerning his disappearance up to a total of hundred thousand to recover the young politician.
“I am willing to reward a hundred thousand shilling for any a person with any idea concerning the MCA,” said Kabogo
He however sent a message of encouragement to the MCA’s family and urged them to remain calm as the police seek to find their kin.
Kabogo expressed his concerns with the number of insecurity cases in the region and urged residents to be their brothers’ keeper.
He said that the MCA was a quiet man with great virtues and he cannot understand his disappearance.
