Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o on Sunday morning met Brazilian legend footballer Ronaldo de Assis Moneira (Ronaldinho)  in Nairobi where they discussed an array of issues in a bid to promote sports, art, and culture in Kisumu County .

This follows Ronaldinho's historic visit to Kisumu on Saturday that saw thousands of football fanatics come out in numbers to share some light moments with him.

Governor Nyong'o has been working to improve the arts and sports industry in Kisumu county.

Earlier this year, Nyong'o's administration sponsored a local football team Kisumu All Stars which featured in the National Super League. 

The Brazilian International visited Kisumu on Saturday where he interacted with local teams, players and coaches and opened a betting shop in Kisumu town. 

He also met a team from the county government and discussed matters football.

Kisumu, where he is touring, is a sports powerhouse owing to the class of sportsmen and women the county has produced since time immemorial.

The football champion is in the country on invitation by Betika and Extreme Sports, a company that organises the Super 8 Champions League.

Extreme Sports Operations Manager Athanas Obango said Ronaldinho will also capitalise on the visit to "motivate young soccer players" before leaving the country.
