Nyamira County First Lady Naomi Nyagarama has appealed to politicians in the county to shun retrogressive politics and embrace peace.
Naomi, while speaking when he joined the County Executive Committee Member in-charge of Health Services Department Mr Douglas Oseko Bosire at Nyamira County Level 5 Hospital Grounds where residents were being screened of cancer, said politicians should focus on development.
"This is not time for politics. My appeal to politicians in Nyamira county is join hands together to serve Nyamira residents for the sake of boosting livelihoods," she said.
She warned politicians against inciting inciting locals to throw insults to Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama.
"It is shameful for some politicians to continue criticizing Nyagarama instead of helping him serve the electorates. Negative criticism won't help anyone clinch a political seat come 2022," she added.
Naomi assured that she will champion for proper medical care in the county.
She urged locals to visit health centers for screening of various ailments.
"Nyamira people should not hide in their houses since health centers are open for them to seek medical attention," she noted.
