Kisii County first lady Elizabeth Ongwae has reiterated that she will not ignore orphans and needy people in the society.
Mrs. Ongwae assured that she is making efforts to ensure the comfort of the less fortunate in the society.
"In my continued campaign of helping the needy, I will not take orphans and needy people in Kisii County for granted. Local leaders should join me in making the lives of orphans and needy people comfortable," said the first lady.
According to her, she will continue visiting orphanages to donated assorted foodstuffs and other basic items to the needy.
"I will work with the management of orphanage facilities in the county to ensure the needs of the children are well taken care off. Politicians should shun divisive politics and work towards the realization of better lives for our people," she added.
She dismissed her husband's rivals saying Governor Ongwae was not elected to serve the interests of few individuals.
"Those opposed to Governor Ongwae's leadership are selfish only interested to get into power to steal public money. Leaders should wait until 2022 to contest again," she stated.
