13-year-old Gloria Ogochi, a top 2018 KCPE pupil at Imperial primary school in Kisii County has said she wants to be a neurosurgeon after her form 4 exams.
Gloria who emerged the top scorer in the KCPE exams released on Monday by Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed said nothing will stop her from chasing her dreams.
"I am happy scoring 435 marks. It is through God, my parents, teachers efforts I achieved the high marks. My dream is to become a neurosurgeon to help sick people," she stated.
Gloria attributed her good performance to hard work and discipline.
"Those who failed in this year's KCPE exams should not give up. I am encouraging them to consider repeating so that they can get good marks to enable them to get enrollment at well-established secondary schools," she added.
According to her, she will be committed to making it to form four, while keeping the good performance and maintaining discipline so that she can make her parents proud.
"I won't let my parents down. I will always work hard in secondary studies to make my parents happy," she assured.
