Hours after Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i issuing stern warning to illegal immigrants, police have arrested 25 foreigners across the country, reports the Standard.
Those arrested were detained in various city police stations ahead of their planned deportation.
Already, 60 foreigners have been deported with 28 immigration officials sacked for their alleged fraud in executing duties.
“We will not tolerate a situation some of these people come with drugs money and cheat our girls with an intention of getting clearance to stay here,” he declared.
He added: " We must protect this country and we ask citizens to cooperate."
Last week, 19 Nigerians were kicked out of the country for allegedly lacking immigration documents.
Mr. Matiang'i, a front runner in Nyamira gubernatorial race, is known for tough regulations in ministries he has worked.
