A meeting at the Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama's residence has caused ripples within the political circles in Nyamira.
The meeting between the ODM Governor and Nyamira ODM members of County Assembly come at a time of rivarly between the two arms of government.
ODM nominated MCA Carol Mogere confirmed that the meeting took place but dismissed claims that they discussed impeachment of Speaker Moffat Teya.
"There is no crime in seeing our Governor. But members of the public need to know facts before sharing any misleading information and speculations about the meeting," she said.
Close allies of the speaker believe that he is being targeted because of his stand on matters concerning governance.
"Intra fightings began with the introduction of the Itemized Budget from the County Assembly. The speaker is for the idea the development projects should commence with immediacy while the Governor seems reluctant. There several games played here," Nelson Osiemo, an ally of the speaker.
Over a period, there has been a suspected cold relationship between the two factions of the government.
Several lobby groups among them the newly formed Progressive Alternative Voice have asked the two sides to use dialogue to end wrangles and focus on service delivery to the public.
