A woman from Ikobe village, Gesiaga in Nyamira County gave birth to triplets on Thursday at Nyamira County hospital maternity ward.
The woman identified as Moraa expressed her happiness after God blessed her with the triplets.
Moraa however, pleaded to be helped to raise her three kids.
"I have been going to normal clinic checkups but, didn't know I was to give birth to triplets. I'm appealing to well-wishers and local leaders to help me financially to raise my kids," she said.
According to Moraa, her husband is a peasant who will not afford to raise the kids.
"I and my husband only work at our small farm. The level of our income is low. Any support from local leaders, and well-wishers is highly welcome," she added.
Mary Bogonko, a nurse who attended Moraa said two of the kids weighed 2.1 kilograms while the other weighed 1.7 kilograms.
"The kids are stable after they mother delivered them normal only that they need to be fed well to hasten their growth. Well-wishers should help the poor family raise the kids," said Mrs. Bogonko.
