A middle-aged man is nursing injuries after he was beaten by angry bodaboda riders for impersonating a woman.
The incident happened on Sunday night in Kisii town. Riders led by Charles Marube claimed that the man, Macmillan Seboka has been stealing from men by pretending to be a woman at night.
"Macmillan resembles a woman. He dresses in skirts and covers his face at night and pretends to be a woman. Men go for him for sex thinking he is a woman but he attacks and robs them once they take him to a lodge,” said Marube.
Marube said they laid a trap and arrested him while he was making his way into Bella Vista Lounge on Sunday night.
“We caught him dressed in a skin-tight and a white top with a leso. We beat him up before he escaped,” said Marube.
Area administrator, Evans Omambia confirmed the incident and warned residents against impersonation saying whoever who will be caught will face the full force of the law.
