For too long, Kenyan art has just been whispered about. It’s time its magnificence is echoed far and wide, to discover talent, and unearth treasures while telling stories of our motherland.

An all-Kenyan calendar for 2019 has been released by Safaricom.

The calendar, whose theme is ‘This Is My Kenya’, features a collection of different pieces of art drawn by Kenyans from different walks of life.

The initiative by Safaricom drew lots of submissions from local artists, and eventually, 36 paintings were selected to make it to the 2019 #ThisIsMyKenya calendar.

Through the calendar, Kenyans can celebrate their country through the eyes of these gifted artists, to explore our beauty, love, aspirations, hope, wildlife, and laughter.

It also seeks to change our mentality by working with talented Kenyan artists to showcase the best of our country’s pieces to everyone.

What you’re about to see are dainty, colourful, bold, and unique photos that pay homage to our beloved country, Kenya - and it’s amazing people.
