Ongoro who fell out with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga prior to the 2017 polls has remained silent raising questions on her political whereabouts.

The former ODM nominated senator who is known in Nairobi's political circles ditched Raila’s ODM party after losing nomination for the Ruaraka seat.

The MP then accused Raila of favoritism ditching the Orange party to join Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress (ANC) party.

Ongoro, who enjoys massive youth and women support in the city lost the Ruaraka seat to Tom Kajwang of ODM in the 2017 polls.

According to political analyst Peter Ngure, the former ODM Party national deputy chairperson  political fate was sealed when she dumped Raila.

“No one dumbs  Raila Odinga and survives, look at people like Bishop Margret Wanjiru who were once Raila’s close friends but are now in political cold,” he said.

Ngure notes that Ongoro can make a political comeback if he returns to the Orange Party.

The last time the former MP was seen in public was during a petition she had filed at the Milimani law courts challenging the re-election of Tom Kajwang as Ruaraka MP.

She lost the petition.
