The deceased went into the books of history for tailoring the late President Jomo Kenyatta's coats.

In a statement released to media outlets, the family said that the deceased was doing well on Sunday only to die on Monday. The family described the death of the activist as a big blow. His daughter Simran Parmar described him as the best father he has ever had in this world.

The nephew Rakesh Prenji said that the deceased collapsed at their home opposite the Nakuru State Lodge before he was rushed to hospital only to be pronounced dead upon arrival.

“He woke up at around 7am and collapsed while having a shower. Doctors told us that he suffered a heart attack,” said Prenji.

Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui eulogized the late as a patriotic Kenya who was determined to make the nation a better place through his works when he was alive.

“Mzee Parmar displayed utmost patriotism and diligence. He will particularly be remembered for his compassion to the poor through the Lion’s Club and attendance of all national holiday celebrations even in later years when his health was failing,” Kinyanjui said.
