Governor John Nyagarama has dismissed claims by West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi that he has allowed county workers to embezzle public funds.
The county boss said he is committed to ensure zero cases of corruption are reported in the county.
"I should not be blamed anytime county workers messes up with public funds. Kemosi is a leader elected by the people and he has a right to report anyone engaging in dubious dealings to authorities for arrests to be made," he said in Nyamira town on Thursday.
The ODM governor denied that there are wrangles between him and his deputy Amos Nyaribo.
According to him, in leadership there must be some misunderstandings which should be sorted out once the involved parties sits down.
"I have a cordial relationship with Mr. Nyaribo despite the small challenges we have been facing. Locals should not be worried because they elected us to serve them and not fight over hiring of county workers," he noted.
Governor Nyagarama insisted that EACC officials are free to visit the county to investigate corruption and nab culprits for prosecution.
