Riamoni villagers are mourning the death of a man who hanged himself inside his neighbor's house on Saturday night.
It is alleged the deceased Samuel Onyoni had a disagreement with his neighbor, Edward Mbwayo.
"Onyoni's wife abandoned him and he blamed Mbwayo who was chasing the woman for love.
"Onyoni threatened to kill himself at Mbwayo's house if his wife could not return back," said a local, Clifford Ongeri.
Mr. Ongeri said Onyoni living by his threats, he sneaked into Mbwayo's house on Saturday at 9 pm while Mbwayo was with his wife at the kitchen eating supper and hanged himself.
Area assistant chief, Benson Omanga confirmed the incident and said Mbwayo found Onyoni's lifeless body hanging from the roof of his house.
"Onyoni hanged himself inside Mbwayo's sitting room. The deceased had accused Mbwayo of having an affair with his wife who abandoned him," said Omanga.
Mr. Omanga said he alerted police officers who arrived, picked the body and took it to Nyamira County hospital morgue.
The administrator called on residents to embrace peaceful ways of solving differences instead of ending their lives.
