Kisumu Central legislator Fred Ouda is one of the politicians whose win in the previous elections can solely be based on his controversial deeds.

Ouda spent most of his time during the campaign season engaging in controversial activities.

No one expected him to be elected into the National Assembly , but Kisumu residents still saw a leader in him, though he is yet to make any substantial effect in parliament.

Sharing in the same is Homabay Senator Moses Kajwang’ an unknown person who secured the seat after the death of his brother Otieno Kajwang' who died in November 2015.

Despite being a silent individual, Kajwang suddenly burst into the limelight in the by-election, winning the seat on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket, in what many would term sympathy vote.

Migori Senator-elect Ochillo Ayacko becomes the latest beneficiary of miracle and being nominated for the ODM ticket in a very tight race that brought on board among others, former Rongo lawmaker and experienced heavyweight Dalmas Otieno.

He would again survive an onslaught by Federal Party of Kenya (FPK) candidate Eddy Oketch to win the main race, overcoming Oketch’s alleged links with Deputy President William Ruto and area Governor Okoth Obado.
