South Mugirango Member of Parliament Sylvanus Osoro seems to be winning the hearts of his constituents following the gifts he is getting from locals.
The MP on Thursday received a gift from locals as he opened a modern laboratory at Ramoya Girls secondary school in Tabaka ward.
"The banana we are handing over to you is as a form of appreciation for the good work you are doing. Go make a soup and drink gain more energy," said one of the local Daniel Ongondi.
Another resident Wilfred Omoke lauded the MP and assured him that he will continue getting more gifts from the locals.
Omoke challenged the MP's political rivals to give him ample time so that he can fulfil his campaign promises.
"Osoro is overworking since he won the elections. Rivals need to give him a break and ample time to work. Without doubt, he will be re-elected in 2022," he said.
While accepting the gift, the lawmaker insisted that he will not listen to critics and rivals but will focus on service delivery to mwananchi.
"I will be giving my best in all that I do to ensure I satisfy all your needs. Thank you for the gifts I have been getting," Osoro stated.
On Wednesday, the MP also was gifted a goat and some bananas while opening a new classroom block built by the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) at Omobiri secondary school.
