Slightly three months after calling for compensation of post election violence victims, Siaya senator James Orengo now wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to revisit Migingo Island controversy.
Initially, Orengo was on of ODM leaders opposed to the handshake on grounds that it failed to cater for the victims.
And at Migori on Monday, Orengo reignited the ownership of Migingo Island which is also claimed by Uganda.
"Migingo is in Kenya and all colonial maps shows that. We are tired with neocolonialism by Ugandans and this is the time this matter is revisited," he said.
He added: "President Uhuru should now come out and stamp his authority. That is the only thing he can do for Nyanza people. Our territories must be respected."
Last month, three Kenyan police officers were arrested by their Ugandan counterparts along with five fishermen.
Uhuru is set to visit Luo Nyanza later this month along with Tanzanian President John Pombe and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
