Muli said the political fights are instead painting a bad picture of the Kamba nation to other communities.

He said Kalonzo and governors Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Kivutha Kibwana hold meetings with intentions of political counter-attacks which do not help the locals in any way.

"We have seen meetings being held and one thing for sure they are not meant to discuss development but methods devised to trounce over opponents," Muli said.

Muli addressed the press in Kangundo on Wednesday.

He said Ukambani votes alone cannot make anyone a President.

Muli urged Ukambani leaders to reconcile, work together and focus on uniting the community.

"Being President isn't easy, you will have to convince over half of the communities in the country to vote for you. But how will you convince them when you can't unite Ukambani alone," Muli said.

He said the electorate is thirsty for development, yet the leaders are busy fighting each other.

Muli said there is a need for Kalonzo to meet the three governors for dialogue so that they agree on how to lead the community.
