Luo Nyanza has always given the nation some of her best tunes during election times, most in honour of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
But here are three of the tracks that went into history as the best and most accepted.
1. NASA Tibiim
This was the sole opposition anthem in the previous presidential campaigns not only in Luo Nyanza but each and every corner of the republic.
The track was crafted in honour of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga, then the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential flag bearer.
Though fully done in Luo by Ohangla star Onyi Jalamo, it received massive appreciation from opposition supporters and overshadowed all other campaign songs in the country.
2. Raila ODM
In the in up to the 2007 presidential elections, his was almost the only song that was receiving airplay in Nyanza.
It was composed by Onyi Papa Jey, again in honour of Raila who was then raking his second shot at the top seat after a futile bid in 1997.
It contained great imagery of Raila and his team playing a soccer match against the other team led by then-President Mwai Kibaki who was seeking reelection.
As was expected, Raila scored and his team won, but in reality, Kibaki ended up controversially winning, leading to the 2007-2008 post-election clashes.
3. Unbwogable
This was arguably the greatest piece done by the now-defunct Gigigidi and Majimaji duo ahead of the 2002 elections.
The Nyanza region was at the time rallied behind Mwai Kibaki who had Raila's full support.
The title is a Luo version of 'unshakable', coming from the word 'bwogo' which can also mean 'startle'.
