The political future of Garissa Township MP Aden Duale continues to be the front and center of discussions after some MPs implicated him in the shooting down of the sugar report.
Kieni MP Kanini Kega and his Dagoretti North counterpart have alleged that Duale plotted to have the report rejected.
These allegations are pretty devastating for an MP who has in the past railed against corruption in all its manifestations.
He maintains that the report was shot down for its own defectiveness and not because money exchanged hands.
Calls have been made for his conduct to be discussed in Parliament and investigative bodies to have him investigated.
Should the DP Ruto's ally be found guilty of wrongdoing, that would set the stage for his impeachment.
Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa is on record saying that he has lost confidence in Duale's leadership.
Will he survive these calls?
Only time will tell.
