With President Uhuru Kenyatta expected to give his state of the nation address at the National Assembly on April 4, there is a number of issues that he is very likely to address.

Among these is the issue of corruption in the nation, one that he has vowed to fight to the end, as he is expected to deliver a tough message on the same.

Actually, what he says during the address could alter the nation's political landscape, now that his Deputy William Ruto seems to be leading a political group opposed to the war.

It is very unlikely that he will avoid the issue, at a time when he has been seen firing direct shots to the DP on the graft issue, the latest being during his recent Namibia visit.

Depending on how he handles the issue, his remarks could either bring the DP's faction closer or widen the rift said to exist between them.

Uhuru is also expected to speak on the stability of the party which seems divided after Uhuru reached out to opposition leader Raila Odinga through their March 2018 truce.

Nominated lawmaker Godfrey Osotsi said that he expects Uhuru to tell the nation how he plans to sustain his Big 4 agenda and step up the war on corruption.

“We hope the President will use the opportunity to explain to the country how he will sustain the war and ensure that the culprits are convicted," he told the Monday Nation.

In the last few years, Uhuru has been very general in his addresses but political analyst and various politicians have seen Ruto as the main target.
