A 36-year-old woman shocked villagers of Nyabigege on Friday evening after she shamed her husband in public.
Esther Nyanchama claimed that her husband Albert Maonda has been beating her up and sleeping with her younger sister.
"I have tried to tolerate my husband who has been beating me for long. I realized the reason he has been attacking me is because he sleeps in the same bed with my younger sister who has been living with us," said Nyanchama.
According to Nyanchama, Maonda could return home and start beating, kicks her out of the house before demanding sex from her younger sister.
"Once he kicks me out of the house, he switches of lights and goes to bed with my younger sister," she stated.
She noted that after she asked her younger sister to return to their Nyamache home in Kisii County, Maondahas been violent on her.
Area community policing official Emmanuel Ondimu said the couple has been having a troubled marriage.
"Maonda and his wife need to seek spiritual guidance because not even the chief can handle their drama," Ondimu stated.
He said the local assistant chief and elders have tried to advise the couple to live in peace in vain.
