Momanyi appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to consider appointing more elderly people into government to curb corruption.

"There is no need for youthful individuals to continue being absorbed into government because corruption is at the peak. Young people are accumulating wealth through theft of public funds," he said.

Mr Kebati said young people should not feel bad when ageing individuals are appointed into government.

"It is not a crime when elderly people are absorbed back into government because they know how to utilize public funds unlike youthful people who have turned to be careless mismanaging public resources instead of championing for development," he added.

He appealed to Kenyans to elect mature people in the next coming general elections.

"My humble plea to Kenyans eligible to vote is that mature people who will be accountable for public funds should be elected to serve in various elective positions," said the ex-lawmaker.

Kebati argued that if corruption won't end Kenyans will continue being poor.
