Former South Mugirango MP Omingo Magara has urged ex-Bonchari MP John Opore to quit politics after losing an appeal to John Oroo.
Magara said Opore has served as MP in Bonchari for 15 years and there is nothing tangible he did to benefit the people.
“Opore should respect the will of the constituents who voted him out during the last year’s polls.
"He served for 15 years and no development was realized. It is time he should quit politics to avoid being shamed in 2022,” he said.
Magara, who is also the PDP party leader said the party supports Oyioka to deliver quality services to the people of Bonchari.
“Our son Oyioka was elected on a PDP ticket and he has the party support to deliver to the people.
"Opore lost on a Jubilee ticket and therefore, he should accept and retire from politics to avoid humiliation in future,” he said.
Magara lauded the Judiciary for delivering justice especially on the petition that Opore filed to challenge Oyioka’s victory.
Magara was speaking during an interview with Egesa Fm on Wenesday night.
