A witness, Douglas Mbaka said he found the body of Justine Maonda dumped at his coffee farm.

"I was cultivating at my coffee farm when I spotted a dog at the scene. I approached the scene only to find the mutilated body dumped covered with banana leaves," he said.

Area assistant chief Mary Moige confirmed the incident and said Maonda could have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped in the area.

"Maonda is a trader at Keumbo market. He might have been killed by thugs while he was returning home before his body was dumped inside the coffee farm," she noted.

The chief said Maonda's body had several cuts on his body.

She said she alerted police officers from Keumbu who arrived and took the body to Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital.

She assured that investigations had been launched to establish the killers.

The administrator warned local youths against engaging in criminals activities.
