Speaking in Eldoret town on Tuesday, Bini said a day does not pass without someone being attacked or houses being broken into.

“Security in Mali Nne is a nightmare. People are killed and attacked on a daily basis and police are doing nothing. I think they are sleeping on their job at the expense of the resident's lives,” said Bini.

He reiterated that residents are now scared and cannot do their jobs as usual at ease forcing them to close as early as 7:00 pm for their own security.

“I want to urge the County Commissioner and the Uasin Gishu Governor to work hand in hand to ensure that security is restored since people are really suffering and if nothing will be done, we will resolve to a demonstration,” Bini added.

He further called on the police to increase their patrol in the region for security to be guaranteed.

Bini, however, thanked both the National and County government for bringing back the immigration department in Eldoret which will ensure that residents get their passports without travelling to Kisumu as it has been the norm.
