Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua will on Tuesday host President Uhuru Kenyatta at Masii, Machakos County.

The head of state, who is completing his second and final term in office, is expected launch the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS) in the area. 

The Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader made the revelation on Monday evening through his social media pages.

He said all plans are ready for the president's visit. 

“We are delighted to be hosting H.E. the President Uhuru Kenyatta in Masii tomorrow, for the launch of the Huduma Number (NIIMS).Hosting the launch of NIIMS is a great recognition and also a vote of confidence in our County and its leadership .We do not take this noble gesture for granted," Mutua posted.

The tour comes at a time when President Kenyatta has vowed to deal with corruption head on.

President Kenyatta has affirmed that he will not tolerate corrupt persons in his government, as he seeks to leave behind a legacy before his term comes to an end.
