Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana is considered the most learned Kamba politician who is still active in the game.
Kibwana holds a Bachelors Degree in Law from the University of Nairobi.
He also holds two Masters of Law Degrees from the University of London and Havard University.
The second-term county boss boasts of a Master’s of Arts in Theological Studies from the African International University.
Kibwana served as the retired President Daniel Arap Moi's advisor.
He has been very vocal on matters of national interests.
Kibwana is considered one of the best performing governors in the entire nation.
He has been committed to providing residents with better health care.
Speaking during the Universal Health Conference (UHC) attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta on April 5, 2018, Kibwana reiterated his committed to better health service delivery to his people.
"This programme has been so entrenched in people who have seen its benefit. To say that someone may come and scrap it, I think, may even lead to a government being dissolved," Kibwana said.
Kibwana has been former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka's strong supporter.
Kalonzo has declared his bid for the presidency in the 2022 polls.
