The restaurant where Nairobi governor Mike Sonko prefers having his lunch from has been revealed.

According to football star Dennis Oliech's elder sister, the former Makadara MP loves having his lunch meals at the famous Mama Oliech Restaurant at Hurlingham on the South Western part of Nairobi.

The restaurant is a famous eatery where the high and mighty mingle to sample Fish and Ugali and it hit the headlines when Facebook owner and founder Mark Zuckerberg visited the joint and had his lunch on September 1st, 2016 when he landed in Nairobi.

In a video posted on Sonko's official Facebook page showing him condoling the Oliech family following the death of the restaurant owner, Mama Oliech, football legend Dennis Oliech's sister is heard appreciating the county chief for being the restaurant's longtime customer.

"I want to thank all the guests who have come here to condole with us and some of them have been with us here every day since my mum passed on," Oliech's elder sister whose name could not be established says.

"The governor is with us here today. The governor is a friend of this family and the governor is also a customer at Mama Oliech Restaurant. Even when he was a senator he used to be our client. He doesn't know I used to serve him sometime."

Sonko was among leaders who generously sent contributions to the Oliech family following the death of Mama Oliech.
