Nyanza region might back Musalia Mudavadi in 2022 if he reunites with ODM leader Raila Odinga, Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi hás said.
Speaking on Sunday during a fundraiser in Sabatia, Atandi said that Mudavadi should make peace with Raila in order to remain relevant.
“It’s our time to pay back but that will only happen if we renew our friendship. Raila and Mudavadi should work together and forget about party politics that could be causing a rift between Nyanza and western regions.Both of you need each other,” he said.
His sentiments come amid reports that Raila and Mudavadi have been meeting secretly with the main agenda being on how to revive NASA.
Fears were rife that NASA might collapse after President Uhuru Kenyatta reached a truce with Raila and decided to work together for the sake of the country's unity.
