Have you ever wondered how you can make wine at the comfort of your home?
Well, you should definitely try making homemade mango wine.
It is, however, important to ensure that you use fresh mangoes to avoid ruining your wine. Also, ensure you wash the fruits properly before you embark on your winemaking adventure.
Here are the ingredients you'll require.
3 3/4 cups of mango juice
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 packet of wine yeast
1 tiny pinch of winemaking tannin
1/2 tablespoon of acid blend
1/4 tablespoon of yeast nutrient
1/8 tablespoon of pectinase
Here is the procedure.
1. Put the above-mentioned ingredients except for the wine yeast in a quart mason jar and shake well to dissolve the sugar
2. Allow the wine yeast to activate by dissolving it in a few tablespoons of water for at least 5 minutes. You will then be required to pour it in the prepared mixture.
3. Cover or seal the jar with a fermentation kit.
4. Allow the mango wine to ferment for four to six weeks at room temperature. In cool weather, it may take a little bit longer.
5. After fermentation, strain the mango wine, leaving behind the sediments.
6. Bottle the wine in a tiny batch in Grolsch flip cap bottles and let them age for two weeks.
