Gusii youths allied to the ruling Jubilee party have condemned NASA leader Raila Odinga for taking advantage of the historic handshake to make Jubilee party collapse.
Led by Regional Secretary General Isaac Motari, the youths said Raila must be blamed for the wrangles in the Jubilee party.
"The former Prime Minister is desperate to become President in 2022 by calling unnecessary referendum to amend the constitution. We are not going to allow the old man to continue using his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta to make the Jubilee party collapse ahead of the 2022 general elections," he said in Kisii town on Monday.
Mr. Motari defended DP William Ruto from the 'unnecessary attacks' waged by critics, insisting DP Ruto's development ideologies puts him at the pole position for presidency.
He assured that DP Ruto's journey to State House in 2022 is unstoppable.
"Not even the so called referendum by Raila Odinga will stop DP Ruto from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022. It is high time the ODM leader should consider retiring from active politics and support a youthful candidate to compete with DP Ruto in 2022," he added.
