Most teens do bit their nails. Some of the adults who started the habit while young have not yet stopped doing that.
Sometimes nail biting is a sign of stress, feeling hungry, insecurity, feeling emotional or bored. Biting helps the person to cope with these feelings.
It is quite important to stop nail biting because you may contract germs by always putting your hands in your mouth, the skin damage caused can also harbour germs. Biting nails will also result in strange looking nails.
You can stop this habit by;
1. Cut the nails short
When your nails are short, the teeth will completely have no nail to bite.

Make your mouth busy by chewing gum. This will help your mind to keep off focusing on your nails.

4. Keep your hands busy
