The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party National Executive Committee (NEC) on Monday formed a three-member team to go through a recent report on the party's nomination process.
The team met at the Mash Park Hotel in Nairobi to deliberate on the report presented by a task force formed last year to look into the party's nominations in the 2017 elections.
The trio of nominated Senator Judith Pareno, Nyando MP Jared Okello and Executive Director Oduor Ong'wen was tasked with the job of reviewing the report and propose ways of compliance with the report recommendations.
"The National Executive Committee of the ODM party has formed a three-person team to go through the report of the task force formed last year by the party to review the process of the party nominations and come up with proposals on how best the party can implement recommendations in the report," read a statement signed by party Communications Director Philip Etale.
The committee also allowed party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna to begin preparations for the party's 2020 grassroots elections, as per the party constitution which provides for the same every five years.
The meeting was chaired by party Chair John Mbadi, and also attended by party leader Raila Odinga.
